Vent Hero Masterclass: Day 1 Buffalo Grove, IL
(June 16th)

Vent Hero Masterclass: Day One builds the foundation clinicians need before the ventilator starts acting like a smug little box of chaos. This course covers ventilator basics, setup, advanced functions, and the core decisions that shape safe mechanical ventilation in transport and bedside environments. Learners will work through the key settings, common modes, oxygenation and ventilation strategy, alarms, troubleshooting, and the practical “why” behind each adjustment. A major focus is the Six Horsemen of the Ventilator Apocalypse: minute volume, exhaled tidal volume, respiratory rate, peak inspiratory pressure, plateau pressure, and auto-PEEP. These measured values serve as the quality check that confirms whether the ordered settings are actually reaching the patient, because trusting the screen blindly is how machines win.
