Learners will work through the key settings, common modes, oxygenation and ventilation strategy, alarms, troubleshooting, and the practical “why” behind each adjustment. A major focus is the Six Horsemen of the Ventilator Apocalypse: minute volume, exhaled tidal volume, respiratory rate, peak inspiratory pressure, plateau pressure, and auto-PEEP. These measured values serve as the quality check that confirms whether the ordered settings are actually reaching the patient, because trusting the screen blindly is how machines win.
